Skilled workers, hired. Pay only when they start.
We find, screen, and schedule qualified frontline candidates for you. No retainer, no minimum, and nothing to pay until your new hire starts.
A Midwest foundry needed night-shift maintenance techs. Here is the first week.
Night-shift maintenance is one of the hardest roles in a plant to fill. Skilled techs are already employed, few want nights, and job boards bring in resumes, not mechanics.
Shift, pay, and must-haves in one call. Sourcing started the same day.
Every one screened on skills, certifications, and night-shift fit.
Booked straight onto the plant manager’s calendar.
Paid only when each one started.

Flat feeKnow who to hire before the interview
A resume tells you where someone worked. Achilles tells you who to hire. Every screen turns into data your managers can act on, so they spend time on the right people and you stop paying for bad hires.
- Qualified and a strong fit. Skills, certifications, pay, shift, and commute checked against your bar.
- Underrated. Great people a resume filter would reject, like years of crew work with no resume attached.
- Consistency flags. Frequent job changes, missed calls, or schedule gaps, flagged with the reason.
- Not a match. Closed out only on clear requirements you approve, like certifications or work authorization.

A resume filter would have rejected him. The conversation found the skills.
Flagged for your team with the reason. You decide.
Multi-plant manufacturer, one program
Managers meet only qualified people. No more on-site interviews that end in five minutes.
Consistency and fit signals surface before the offer, not after the first missed shift.
Less than agency fees, and 275 HR hours went back to that team.
Hiring that gets better every week
We start with data on thousands of workers in your area, not a blank job post. Then every screen, interview, and hire teaches the system what good looks like for your roles and your sites.
Start with local data
Workers near your plant, their skills, certifications, and who is open to a move.
Learn your roles
Duties, shifts, and must-haves for each role, and what your best hires have in common.
Tune sourcing
Budget moves to the boards, ads, and areas that produce hires, not clicks.
Tune screening
Questions and scoring sharpen based on who gets hired and who stays.
Qualified candidates per role go up as the system learns. Cost per hire goes down.
Lower cost per hire, or you pay nothing
Agencies charge 15% to 20% of salary and send you resumes. Achilles charges one flat fee, well below agency rates, only when a hire starts. If we do not find someone you hire, you pay nothing.
| Instead of | Typical cost | With Achilles |
|---|---|---|
| Contract recruiter | $40 to $60 an hour, about $7,000 to $10,000 a month | Sourcing and screening included, paid only on hire |
| Staffing placement, skilled trades | 15% to 20% of first-year salary, often $11,000 to $18,000 per hire | A flat fee, a fraction of agency rates, paid at start date |
| Staffing placement, general labor | A markup on every hour worked, often 35% or more, plus a conversion fee to hire them direct | Direct hires, with no temp wage markup. Volume pricing for hiring pushes. |
No retainer, no minimum, and a replacement guarantee on every hire.
Three ways to work with us
Pick the program that fits your hiring need today. Start small and expand when it works.
A few hard-to-fill roles
You pay only when someone is hired.
We source and screen for your open roles. You interview only qualified people. No retainer and no setup.
- Best for 1 to 10 open roles
- Paid at start date, replacement guarantee
A site opening, new shift, or ramp
One fixed fee covers sourcing and your first hires. Extra hires cost less.
A dedicated sprint to fill a site opening, orientation class, or new shift by a set date. Hires who leave in the first 30 days are not charged.
- Best for volume on a deadline
- Defined scope and timeline
Ongoing hiring, fully managed
A monthly program: platform plus managed sourcing.
We set up the Achilles platform and run your sourcing every month to deliver a steady flow of qualified applicants, managed end to end.
- Best for ongoing hiring across sites
- Backed by written SLAs
Every program runs on the Achilles platform. One manufacturer started with one role and now hires hundreds a month across 15 plants.
See what Embedded includes
What Embedded includes
Embedded is measured on qualified people hired. We do not count activity. We track how many qualified people reach your managers and how many get hired. Then we tune the program every week to move those numbers.
| What we track | What it tells you | Reviewed |
|---|---|---|
| Qualified pipeline | If enough of the right people are coming in for each role | Weekly |
| Screen completion | If applicants stay engaged long enough to qualify | Weekly |
| Interview show rate | If candidates are ready when your managers are | Weekly |
| Qualified hires | The number that matters most, by role and site | Monthly |
| Time and cost per hire | If the program beats how you hired before | Quarterly |
Backed by written SLAs
| Area | Commitment | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Applicant review | Every new applicant reviewed against the criteria for the role | 1 business day |
| Candidate outreach | Every applicant past your knockouts contacted by text or call | 1 business day |
| Qualified candidates | Good or Excellent screens contacted to schedule | Same day |
| New roles | Screens live once requirements and pay are in | Same day |
| Escalations | Candidate or hiring manager issues resolved | 1 business day |
If our monthly SLA score drops below 95%, you get a credit on your next invoice. Weekly pipeline reports and working sessions, monthly hiring reviews, and quarterly business reviews keep the program on track.
Questions
When do I pay?
On Per Hire, we invoice a flat fee when your new hire starts, not at the offer. Payment is due in 30 days. There is no retainer and no minimum.
What if the hire leaves early?
If a hire leaves early, we replace them at no extra fee. Most agreements cover the first 30 to 90 days, and longer when the role needs it. If we cannot find a replacement, you get a credit toward your next hire.
What counts as qualified, and who decides?
You do. You set the must-haves, the screening questions, and the scoring, and you approve the screen before it goes live. Only candidates who meet your bar reach your managers.
Can I stop at any time?
Yes. Per Hire has no minimum commitment, and you can end it with 30 days notice.
Why not do this in-house?
You can. A contract recruiter costs about $7,000 to $10,000 a month, works business hours, and screens one person at a time. Sam screens every applicant in minutes, 24/7, in 25+ languages, and our team runs the program for you.
What do my managers have to do?
Interview the qualified candidates we book and make the hire. Setup takes about 1 to 3 hours of your team’s time. We handle the rest.
What happens in week one?
Day 1, we agree on your roles and hiring bar. Next, we build the screens and launch sourcing. Within about a week, applicants are screened and interviews are on your calendar.
Do we need to connect our ATS?
No. Start without it and connect later. Achilles works with most major ATSs.
Is the AI fair and compliant?
Yes. Your team approves every screen, and Sam never rejects anyone for a subjective reason. Our AI is audited for bias every month by a third party, and we are SOC 2 Type II. See our AI Trust Center.
Which program should we start with?
Most teams start with Per Hire on 1 to 10 hard roles. When it works, move to a Hiring Push or Embedded.
Send us one hard role. See who we find.
Tell us what you are hiring for, one role or ten. We reply within one business day with how we would source it.
- No retainer, no minimum
- Pay only when your hire starts
- Replacement guarantee on every hire
